About Us
Art Playground is a creative space built around a simple idea: creativity can bring people together.
We create welcoming spaces where people can make, explore and connect through creative experiences.

CREATE
A space to explore ideas and make something your own.
CONNECT
Making together creates opportunities to share, communicate and build connections.
PAUSE
A moment to slow down, step away from everyday routines and enjoy being present through creativity.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Our programs are designed to be low-pressure, repeatable, and easy to return to: supporting an off-screen culture where creativity becomes part of everyday life that strengthens both individual and community resilience over time. Art Playground is a shared space for making, spending time, and being together.
We are welcoming to all ages and backgrounds. Art here isn’t about perfecting skills or producing outcomes. It’s about using creativity to share, communicate, and connect with others. This is a place to sit side by side, make things together, and create new memories with friends, family, or people you’ve just met. Like any playground, it’s social by nature - free to explore, experiment, and get to know one another at your own pace.
Art at Art Playground is not an individual project. It’s a reflection window of ourselves, of each other, and of the time we spend together. We believe the value of art lies not in technique or form, but in its ability to bring people together through shared human experience.

Meet The Team
I’m Bonnie Chan! My background roots from teaching art to interior and spatial design. For 20 years, I’ve dedicated my work towards fostering children’s creativity and have witnessed the positive impact it has on children’s growth. Through the creative journey, children gain confidence, resilience, problem-solving skills and self-discovery. At Art Playground, I guide children towards weaving creativity into their everyday lives, encouraging them to believe in their own perspective and express it freely with courage.

I’m Grace Lu! My ethos stems from my experiences in social sciences, professional photojournalism, interior architecture and urban design. Whilst practicing and teaching across these fields, I’ve developed a passion for community and creativity building. At the core, it’s about recognising creative autonomy for mental health, resilience and social sustainability. At Art Playground, I introduce creative play as a function, creating an intergenerational space that reduces stress while enhancing problem-solving, communication and cognitive skills.
