About Us

We stepped away from private design practice to follow a different path — one dedicated to social sustainability and the belief that creativity can help build resilient communities.

Art Playground in Zetland is our way of putting this vision into practice. It’s an open, low-pressure space where people can take part in creative rest programs and explore new ways of thinking. Here, there’s no expectation to perform or “be somebody” — just the freedom to create, recharge, and grow.

I’m Bonnie Chan! My background roots from teaching art to interior and spatial design. For 20 years I've dedicated my work towards fostering children’s creativity. I’ve witnessed the positive impacts it has on children’s growth. Through the creative journey, children gain confidence, resilience, problem-solving skills, and self-discovery. At Art Playground, I guide children towards weaving creativity into their everyday lives, supporting their journey of building resilience, while encouraging them to believe in their own perspective and express it freely with courage.

I’m Grace Lu! My ethos stems from my experiences in social sciences & professional photojournalism to interior architecture & urban design. Whilst practicing and teaching in cross-disciplinary fields, I've honed a passion for community and creativity building. At the core, it's about recognising creative autonomy for mental health, resilience and social sustainability. At Art Playground I introduce creative play as a function, and operate an intergenerational space for reducing stress and enhance problem-solving, communication, and cognitive skills.
